On April 22, 2021, the top journal Science (Impact Factor 41.322) featured a research paper titled “Assessing China's efforts to pursue the 1.5°C warming limit,” authored by Hongbo Duan, a center member of our laboratory. This represents the first Research Article in Science authored by Chinese scholars in the social sciences (including economics and management) where Duan served as both the first author and corresponding author. The paper also includes contributions from Sheng Zhou of Tsinghua University (corresponding author), Professor Shouyang Wang from the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (corresponding author), Kejun Jiang from the National Development and Reform Commission’s Energy Research Institute, and several international teams.
