Professor Ying Fan Selected as a 2023 Highly Cited Researcher

On November 15th, Clarivate Analytics, a leading global professional information service provider, released the list of 2023 Highly Cited Researchers. Professor Ying Fan, the director of the Lab for low-carbon Intelligent Governance (LLIG), was named on this prestigious list. Professor Ying Fan was also selected for the list in 2021 and has received the Elsevier "Chinese Highly Cited Researcher" title for multiple consecutive years.

The list of Highly Cited Researchers identifies the top scientific talents from universities, research institutions, and commercial organizations worldwide who have had significant and widespread influence in their respective fields of study. The selection is based on an analysis and evaluation of papers published in the past 10 years across 22 disciplines in ESI's natural and social sciences. The list is compiled by ranking papers that are in the top 1% of citations for the same year within their respective fields. Being named a Highly Cited Researcher indicates that the scholar has a world-class impact in their field of research, has made substantial contributions to the development of that field, and has published multiple highly cited papers with citation frequencies ranking in the top 1% of their academic discipline. Therefore, the list of Highly Cited Researchers is one of the most influential lists globally.
